[Since they didn't much get to check on Percy well, Damian and Papika are gonna slam into that right now. Papika may be concerned for whether or not Percy wants company, but Damian isn't.

At the very least, they are pretty quiet when they approach initially, except for Damian's:] Jackson.

Um... does it matter who it was? Because it sounds like the Sheriff only told them what the names are but not who or what they do. [ she looks at percy. ] Unless they didn't tell you everything.

[ or unless percy is withholding information but she is nice enough not to accuse him of that. especially since she's just grateful she's being told anything at all ha ha. papika is fully aware that most people will just go right by her cause she's one of the younger ones here. ]

I trust the person who told me. We only got the names of the roles, not who they are or what the roles mean. It's one of the things I want to ask the Sheriff myself. I'm not entertaining the idea that I was lied to because I know better than that. I trust them. And I trust you guys to also keep all of this to yourself, understand?

[He doesn't want to withhold anything if he can help it, but he's worried they might get caught up in the wrong place at the wrong time with the wrong information.] I need you two to stick together while we're all working on this. It's less suspicious for you two since you share a room.

[Naturally, Damian doesn't seem terribly convinced, but he drops it for the sake of not (for once) starting a giant argument when the whole point is to have a few allies.] And what about you? [He's looking at Percy still.]

[ she's not going to ask who if the answer is yes, but it would be nice to know how much of this info is cycling around the rest of the town. ]

[A pause. He doesn't know how to answer Damian's question, but Papika's comes easier.]

No. I haven't. Robin and I talked about scouting out information and figuring some stuff out, but I haven't told anyone yet. The information I just gave you is what I have. Have either of you told anyone else?

I haven't told anyone but the two of you. [When the question goes unanswered, Damian frowns, but let's Percy answer Papika's instead uninterrupted.

But he doesn't drop it.] Don't ignore my question. What are you planning to do, Jackson?

[ after answering, she looks at percy though. she's also curious about this?? ]

How mad are we going to be about the answer?

If you're asking me what I'm planning to do about this information, nothing yet. Feeling things out, seeing who I can trust. I have zero intention mentioning that you have a role or that you're involved in any way. I'm just...feeling things out.

[And trying really, really hard to power through at least until they find Annabeth's killer at tomorrow's trial. He's hoping that's what Damian means.]

[It really wasn't, and it really didn't answer his question, but he's tired of getting vague answers, so he drops it in favor of just having to see what Percy is going to be up to later.]

If you can, try to figure out the stock's purpose. I think it's a fear tactic, but it could be more. One of the roles could be utilizing it.

Also, see if anyone may know what the wanted posters mean.

Mm... I think I might ask the Sheriff about roles. I haven't spoken to him privately yet, and I want to see if he'll give me different information than what he gave... Percy's friend.

[Pretty much all signs of emotions are gone from his face, especially when Damian brings up a point.]

Not a bad idea. I can ask him about the stocks and see if we can't figure out how to circumvent things.
